Bereits in den 1980er Jahren hatte Extron Modellbau hochwertige, abgestimmte Motoren und Antriebssets im Programm. Mit der neuen bürstenlosen Außenläufer Serie kommt eine hochwertige aber preisgünstige Motorenserie auf den Markt. Den Anfang machen die Motoren der 2208 und 2212 Serie. An der Bezeichnung lässt sich die Größe des Stators ableiten, in diesem Fall also 22 x 8mm bzw. 22 x 12. Die Preise beginnen bei 22,- € inklusive Montagezubehör. Das Programm wird laufend erweitert.
